| The Wurzbach Pocket Trumpet is amazingly well constructed for the price. Its valves were slightly sticky when it arrived, but was easily fixed with valve oil. It also comes with a nice care kit and polishing cloth as well as a 7c mouthpiece. Its case is also well constructed and compliments the trumpet well in the sense that its small and attractive. The trumpet itself has adjustable slides to place the trumpet in tune and the thumb saddle can be pulled back for more comfort. I believe this also helps with the tuning as well. The sound may seems louder because of how close the it is, but the tone, regardless, is nice and bright. It can accompany any regular trumpet mouthpiece so a 1.5c will probably give you a nice, warmer sound. The silver plating was just icing on the cake and makes the trumpet look amazing. Again, its well worth the money and if anything, it has a 2 year warranty. You can't lose with this trumpet! |
Surprisingly good quality for the money!

| I was pleasantly surprised about how well constructed this instrument was, considering the very low price. It's about a half-step sharp, but that's easily adjusted for by pulling out the main slide a ways. It plays just like a trumpet, which is the important thing. You get used to the sound pretty quickly too; it's just a little smaller sound than a trumpet, and it's closer to you. But I think it's a little more agile than a trumpet, and it's fun to practice with. You'll enjoy this horn. |
